This fast food chain started off in 2001 as a food cart outside Madison Square Park and due to increased popularity moved to a stand inside the park a few years later. In fact this burger joint is so popular that you can view the length of the queue online and let me tell you it’s well worth standing in it. The ShackBurger is the best fast food burger I have ever eaten, in fact, possibly hands down the best burger I have ever eaten. I have no idea what’s in their famous ShackSauce but it it’s ridiculously good and the fries are crisp, crunchy and perfectly made every time. Apart from burgers they also offer hotdogs, frozen custard and dog treats. Yes, you can actually buy your four pawed companion a doggie bag of 5 Shackburger dog biscuits made especially for Shake Shack by NYC’s Bocce’s Bakery, an all natural dog biscuit company.
Shake Shack was started by Union Square Cafe’s Danny Meyer, who has remarkably opened 28 restaurants of which only one has closed down, quite something for the restaurant industry. Other Shake Shack locations include Chicago, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Las Vegas, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington DC as well as The Middle East, United Kingdom, Turkey and Russia.
